Hey, I’m Ipek.

I’m a designer transitioning into strategic product and marketing roles, where creativity, communication, and business thinking come together.

I’ve worked on everything from creating new products and understanding users to marketing and mapping out customer journeys—all with a focus on meeting real needs while helping the business grow. No matter what I’m working on, I try to approach every step with care, intention, and empathy.

My Journey at
We Need to Talk

We Need to Talk is a non-profit organisation fighting against period poverty and menstruation stigma in Turkey since 2016.

Empowering women.

As a volunteer designer at We Need to Talk, I helped develop Kırmızı Rehber—an educational app designed to empower women through access to knowledge about menstruation. From UX/UI design to marketing materials, I contributed to a mission I deeply believe in: design as a tool for equality and education.

My Journey into Leadership

With roots in design and a growing focus on strategy and entrepreneurship, I’m driven by ideas that solve real problems and stories that move people.

As part of my Master thesis, I explored how technology-driven startups can successfully develop, validate, and scale innovative business models. My thesis focused on the intersection of health tech and pet care through the case of CatNey—my startup idea: a smart, in-home device designed to monitor kidney health in cats.

Drawing from user research, expert interviews, and startup case study methods, I developed a practical three-phase framework to guide early-stage tech ventures through business model innovation. The project combines strategic thinking, systems design, and real-world entrepreneurial insight—all grounded in a mission to make technology more human, useful, and scalable.

Stepping into entrepreneurship.
